Job Description:
Plan and design structures that advance sustainability initiatives by managing projects pursuing certifications that validate and enhance performance. Manage internal and external green building certification workflows and coordinate internal and external team members to deliver. Manage building projects from start to finish, including contracts, invoicing, and timesheet approvals, oversee the work of junior team members, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on innovative solutions. Ensures the seamless integration of sustainability attributes across assigned projects, while delivering scope on budget and on schedule. Perform analyses to evaluate project performance metrics such as indoor water use against third-party standard sustainability metrics and perform QA/QC reviews of analyses conducted by team members. Coordinate with the design team to confirm project scorecards. Lead interactions with design and construction team members during all project phases and respond to inquiries from project teams. Serve as the credentialed project Green Rater and perform on-site verification and testing for residential projects, including reviewing documentation, assembling the project submittal package, and completing the application to the certifying body.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Sustainable Design, or a related field.
Experience: 24 months of experience in sustainability project management, green building project management, or a related occupation.
Alternate Minimum Requirements (if any):
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Sustainable Design, or a related field.
Experience: 6 - 8 years of experience in sustainability project management, green building project management, or a related occupation.
Specific skills required:
Requires 6 - 8 years of experience in each of the following:
- Green building project management;
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously, and effectively coordinating internal teams and external stakeholders to meet deadlines and quality standards;
- Serving as the LEED Consultant on residential and commercial projects and delivering LEED trainings;
- Leading and managing the planning, coordination, and certification processes for LEED and other sustainability rating systems across multiple projects;
- Providing technical guidance and quality assurance on sustainable design strategies, including energy performance, water efficiency, material selection, and indoor environmental quality;
- Reviewing design documents, specifications, and submissions to ensure compliance with LEED requirements and overall project sustainability goals;
- Leverage knowledge of LEED updates, regulatory changes, and emerging green building technologies to provide informed guidance and support for successful project completion.
Certifications required:
- HERS (Home Energy Rating System) credential
- LEED Green Rater credential
- LEED AP
